I'm glad you see my point, and it seems you do understand the fact that we could do better. It seems where we diverge is the "letting our guard down" thing... I do see your point there as well, but I don't think we need to spend more on our military than the next 8+ countries in the top-spender list combined to do that. Furthermore, toppling governments around the world isn't part of keeping our guard up, which is most of what our military does. That, and then staying in those places to keep the empire's boot on their necks. Biden, and the people in his team who will apparently be responsible for those kinds of decisions, have been in favor of that kind of thing throughout their careers. They are unlikely to build the foundation of stability and sanity that you mention, they just won't be as loud and rude about it as Trump was.

I actually do have a plan, though it isn't my own. The plan is to take care of each other, instead of relying on these psychopaths in D.C. I don't expect to solve world hunger and end war anytime soon, but we have to start somewhere.
